Survivor by AlliraI hope that I survive this cruel storm,
It’s like a cyclone in my home. I dare not breathe for my fear, of being stranded here, all alone and dead. Try to survive, I may not. I have, hope. |
My Inspiration:
I thought I would write a poem about hope of surviving something, hope that the people in Phillipines would have had with the Typhoon Haiyan. Some people would have hoped they would would have survived and sadly died and some would have hoped they survived and did survive. There were some amazing survival stories from the Typhoon Haiyan and I wanted to write about that. Types and Techniques: The type of poem that Survivor is, is a nonet. The techniques used in this poem are repetition of 'I' to explain how I was feeling, there is a simile, line 2 (It's like a cyclone in my home), and there is an end rhyme, line 3 and 4, with the words fear and here. |
